The herpes simplex virus type 2 is one of two types of the virus that is more commonly known as genital herpes.  This type of herpes is the most well known and is highly contagious at various stages. What Herpes Info You Need To Know Herpes Simplex, or HSV, is the name of the virus that is broken into two types.  Herpes Simplex 1 is the oral form of the disease in which the outbreaks of the condition will affect the mouth, throat, rim of the mouth and the lips.  This form of the disease is also called HSV 1. HSV 1 can actually cause herpes simplex two, but this does not happen often.  Instead, it is the second form of the disease, Herpes Simples 2 that is the cause of genital herpes .  This type of herpes is nearly always found below the waistline and does not cause the cold sores or blistering of the fact that HSV 1 does.  In fact, the symptoms of HSV 2 , or herpes simplex 2, are quite similar but they happen in the genital region of the body. In addition, another piece of important herpes information that everyone should have is about the herpes signs .  There are two stages in which this disease goes through, both of which revolve as the disease is never fully removed from the body.  First, there is a herpes rash .  The rash involves small, bumps on the skin that is infected.  The bumps will later turn into blisters that are filled with a milky white fluid.  Because they itch and are irritated easily, they will break open.  At this time, they form open painful sores on the skin .  After a few days, they will heal over with scabs and the disease enters the second stage.  This stage is simply when the HSV virus is dormant in the body where there are not signs or symptoms of the condition on the skin. The herpes simplex virus type 2 is the most common of them.  It is also unable to be cured and for that reason, anyone that is sexually active, which is the most common and easiest way to pass on the disease, should take precautions to avoid contracting the disease.
